Not to brag or anything, but just in this week alone, a client had not one, but two pieces of content pop off. And for the record, they were two of the most low-effort posts I’ve ever put out. And I’ve put out a lot. 😉
One was a Reel we recycled from last year.
The other was a photo and a caption that I was given. I put maybe ten minutes of thought into them total.
It just goes to show you don’t have to overcomplicate content. J
Just post the damn thing.
Even if it’s not perfect. Or the angle isn’t right. Or you haven’t posted in three months (looking at myself here).
With that being said, here are my goals for this year… so far…
Be more consistent with my content. I gave myself a break last year because life was chaotic, but life is probably always going to be chaos and luckily for you, you’re getting the unedited and unfiltered version of me this year.
Drink less… haven’t quantified what I’m drinking less of yet, but you’ll know when I know.
Walk more. But only if the path is flat, there aren’t too many bugs, and bonus points if there’s a body of water nearby.
Share more content ideas with you. What I’m loving, what could work for your niche, and how to make it land with your audience.
And read more. With one caveat, I’m ditching non-fiction books.
I feel like there’s a huge pressure to read non-fiction, here’s my hot take: they don’t make me a better person. I’m not gonna follow your ten steps, it’s just stuff I already know, and I’m living non-fiction every day, why would I make that a hobby?
Fiction, on the other hand, opens me up creatively, lowers my stress, and gives my brain a break from real life.
Here’s to a year of doing less, trusting ourselves more, and not overthinking everything into oblivion.

P.S. If this email gave you permission to post something you’ve been sitting on or read a book just because it’s fun then my work here is done.
So what actually makes a piece of content “pop off”?
Here’s the deal: this is different for every account, even within your own brand.
You could have 400 followers and get a piece of content that reaches 4,500 people. That’s a lot of eyeballs.
Or you could have 8,000 followers, and your content is popping off at 20k views.
It’s all relative. It’s brand-specific. And it’s based on what doing well looks like for you.
Here are the metrics you should actually be looking at if you want to recreate what worked:
- Reach (not just follower count)
- Saves and shares (these matter more than likes)
- Watch time or completion rate
- Profile clicks or website taps
Comments that show people actually got it
Let me know what content has soared for you so far in 2026!
