This week has been pure chaos. The kind where you start questioning all your life choices. We had the floors refinished (because apparently, selling a house means suddenly caring about things you ignored for years). The girls, the animals, and I camped out in a cute Airbnb—which should have been fun, but honestly, moving an entire household, even temporarily, is never relaxing. Oh, and I’ve painted almost every inch of our home. I still have paint in my hair. It’s fine. We’re fine. Everything is fine.
But in the middle of all the mess, I had one of those gut-punch realizations: time moves too fast. My parents are just a little bit older every time I see them. My daughters seem to grow up overnight. And me? I’ve navigated things I never saw coming—business, family, life. No one gave me a manual for any of this, yet here we are.
And you know what? Sometimes, we need to press pause.
The world will not end if you step away. The algorithm won’t implode. Your business won’t fall apart. In fact, taking a break might be exactly what you need to spark fresh ideas and reignite your creativity.
So take the coffee date. Have the long lunch. Soak up the moments that actually matter.
And if you’re feeling like your business could use a little strategy reset (without the burnout), let’s chat. At RaisingSocial.co, we help business owners and decision-makers like you show up strategically on social media—so you can actually live your life without being glued to your phone.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to go scrub paint out of my hair.
